While we are mainly known for our work towards the ecological healing of the landscape of the former grounds of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant, we are also proponents of cultural healing. This presentation will help to bring context of the history of this landscape. Understanding it's complete history should help us find ways to stem the tide of entropy that threatens to smother rare grassland bird habitats.
This is a FREE, in-person only event!
Welcome to the ancient Sauk Prairie!

We’re the Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance, our focus is to promote the ecological healing of the former grounds of the Badger Army Ammunition Plant. We use our limited resources to promote citizen science projects, educational outreach programming, and hands-on conservation efforts. Our role is facilitating collaborative conservation between the various parcel owners and the general public. We’re proud of our historical partnerships with the Wisconsin Department of Resources, the Ho-Chunk Nation, and the USDA Dairy Forage Research Center.
